| Edible Arrangements: Fruity bouquets are centerpiece of Collinsville couple's new business
Bob and Becky Jones spent 20 years helping customers choose videos. Now they're helping customers pick the perfect fruit basket at Edible Arrangements in Collinsville. "I could be retired but I don't want to be," said Bob, 67, as he carried a fruit arrangement from the back workroom to a cooler at the front of the store. The colorful grouping featured pineapple slices cut like flowers with a melon ball in the center as well as strawberries, honey dew and cantaloupe crescents and "stalks" of red grapes. "We absolutely use no preservatives," he said. Other arrangements feature strawberries dipped in white chocolate and chocolate-dipped orange and apple slices. "A lot of people mistake these for marshmallows," said Becky, 65, pointing to a chunk of banana dipped in white and milk chocolate." She had just finished taking a phone order.

Council, police settle issue on ‘illegal’ outpost
ANGELES CITY -- The issue over the much contested police station in Balibago has now been settled as the City Council here and the new city police director have resolved to demolish the outpost in place of a new and better situated outpost. The problem of the police outpost stemmed when former Angeles City Police director Sonny Cunanan and Precinct 4 officials led by Superintendent Joselio Imperial and Senior Inspector Luisito Tan ignored the request of the council and the City Engineers Office to stop the construction of the outpost as it violated the National Building Code and it lacked of necessary permits.
