NYMEX crude hits record-high $97.24/barrel
U.S. crude futures rose 54 cents to a new all-time high of $97.24 a barrel in electronic trade on Wednesday, bolstered by expectations that U.S. government data due out later in the day will show a decline in crude inventories. NYMEX crude for December delivery was trading 51 cents higher at $97.21 barrel in Globex electronic trading by 0040 GMT. .
